Pakistan : Was it ever Pure?

I was more than shocked to learn that a country, as unholy as Pakistan had such a good meaning..

Pak in Urdu means PURE !! So Pakistan means, "The Land of Pure". Holy crap!! What an irony!  Was Pak ever pure? EVER?

I would rather eat my soul  than believing this. So I did some online research on the etymology of the word Pakistan. I discovered some more less-shocking but equally irritating facts.
  •  It was coined in 1934 as Pakstan by Choudhary Rahmat Ali, who published it in his pamphlet Now or Never.
  • The name represented the "thirty million Muslims of PAKISTAN, who live in the five Northern Units of British Raj — Punjab, Afghania (also known as North-West Frontier Province), Kashmir, Sindh, and Balochistan."
Now we know why is that inane country so very desperate to acquire the territory of Kashmir. They feel they are not pure (Pak) without Kashmir. I say,  they were never pure and will never be pure with their flawed fundamentalism and equally flawed constitution

Deliberate Digression from Topic :
If India wished, they could have done the ablution of Pakistan long time back erasing its impurity. Mrs Indira Gandhi had a golden chance during the war for independence of Bangladesh. So unfortunate that the much touted "Most influential P.M" didn't utilize the opportunity to kick their butts properly.

Then came the incident of Plane HiJack to Kandahar which resulted in the release of 3 of the most infamous Terrorists. Eventhough India had enough evidence that it was masterminded by Pakistani ISI, they couldn't even touch Pak.

Then was the incident of Attack on Indian Parliament, the flagship symbolism of  World's biggest Democracy. Fie on us, we couldn't put pressure on Pakistan, let alone attacking them.

Why so far, after November 26th Attack on Mumbai, India had all the proof and all the support from the world community. It was the right most time to attack them because the latest attack has been proved to be ISI / L-e-T masterminded beyond any doubts.

Its been close to 50 days and NOTHING HAS Happened. Today, every country on Earth, including Pakistan is literally laughing at our Government for showing that "We have Ball-less". Its unfortunate that 110 crore lions are being ruled by  handful of old sheep but got to accept the fact, WE ELECTED THEM. DIDN'T WE?

If you say, "Thats why I never participate in election!!" there can never be a bigger criminal than you ! Ask yourself..

Nice one.But Raveesh, war isn't the solution to the problem India is looking for.Jehadis are like "mushrooms" ,they can replicate anywhere easily. In the present scenario, though India can pull off a comfortable victory in a war situation,India cant take over pak, Global community wont allow that. This may lead to the worst situation, Nuclear arsenal into the hands of Taliban, this is can be deadly not only for India, but for the entire world.I would suggest a more concrete solution to this. Pressurize global community to make sure that the system in Pakistan changes. This can happen, world knows Pak is the epicenter of the world terrorism, if every responsible country can pull off a diplomatic victory, i am sure we can see a systemic change in the so called "pure" Pakistan.

Really thoughtful Bharath. But we all know what is the effect of Pressurizing by Global community.. A Zilch, NULL..

Pak has never budged to international pressure because of their very fundamentalistic thoughts which is flawed.

War is not the solution but i think Indians have had enough..

I think war is THE only solution. Don't get me wrong but take the example of Israel. Hamas strikes one missile and Israel strike back a 100 - that's what we ought to learn. It's the only daring nation in the world and it's not even as big as Karnataka. Yet they do what I call as Terrorize the terrorists. And we cannot forget things like the old plane hijack (location afghanistan but pakistanis behind it) and parliament attack. Also there have been several ( a huge no.) incidents of ceasefire violations by Pak army in LoC. We should acquire the PoK back and go far into their territory and call it "IoP" - India Occupied Pakistan. This might sound least practical nevertheless we have to be tough.

And pressure, diplomacy can't work. It never has and never will. And can we expect countries like China to put pressure on Pak ? Remember that China has occupied a large chunk of India in J&K and also Dalai Lama takes refuge in India. And do you know why US is interfering in this issue ? It doesn't want war coz it can't decide which country to support. And if there's tension between 2 nations, Pak will concentrate more on Indo-Pak border than North-west Afghan border where there are NATO operations from US.
Also we have to learn more technical stuff from US. Look at FBI - they can virtually intercept any calls and communication. India needs to develop technology and include more funds for defense in budget. Remember the defacing of certain Indian website by Pakistanis ? We (unofficially) must counter attack their websites.

Meanwhile, we can pray for world peace.

@Raveesh
I don't know whether I am allowed to discuss with TechnoHolics in Raveesh's personal blog.Still i would like to debate with your prior permission Raveesh.I am happy that you are into this kind of blogging.

@TechnoHolics

Israel-Palestine scenario is completly different from the Indo-Pak relationship.
Israel has America's total patronage.
Palestine is not a nuclear powered state.Hamas is terribly weak compared to state sponsored Pakistan terrorist groups.

If in case a war is waged, without global support we are totally isolated. I am not against war, but war without global support cant be fruitful.
Obama even had an idea of capturing the eastern provinces of Pakistan during his pre-presidential campaign. If that happens it will be the blessing in disguise for India.

Try pressurizing more, diplomatic offensive will work.Take it to the UNSC,Indo-Pak relationship is no more a bilateral one.China has never been our friend,so keeping Beijing out of the equation, We have other 4 permanent members in our basket. If they can pull off something good, Pak has to work, and they will.

This is pretty bad on my behalf, but i want this to happen. Hope Taliban or Al-queeda does some terror strike on US, which makes US to take an offensive action against Pak, so without any problem we have our problem solved.Hoping against hope that this would happen sooner:)

The biggest problem is within ourselves ... so true ... Last 2 lines were so very true !!!
Can you answer me these questions before blaming the people who abstain from voting ...

1>The attack on indian embassy in afghanistan recently there was a suspected ISI hand .Why don't the we ( includes me , you and all ) or media talk about these attack ? Why are there lesser blogs attacking these attacks ? :)

2>Why do we talk about mumbai attacks so much ? Is it because people of MUMBAI were attacked ? Not at all .Remember serial blasts?? not so much is talked about it ... I don't even know who the attackers are . We don't even care to know ! We don't even care to remember ....

A very nice blog .... well done !!!

Hi Raveesh... Anand here... 1st year TCE at PESIT. Came across your name when I was trying desperately to find out if PESIT had a Quiz Club. Well, interesting post. But, there are a few aspects you seem to have overlooked. First of all, lets go back in time a little. When the Tashkent Treaty was signed, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was quite unequivocal when he said that the next time India pushed Pakistan to the wall, like we did by supporting the Mukti Bahini during the liberation of Bangladesh, Pak will not hesitate to use the nuclear option. The same was quite emphatically reiterated by Musharraf. And hence, we really couldnt do much about the Parliament attacks. But I agree... the NDA did have old farts who refrained from reacting. But the Mumbai attacks are quite a different proposition. Fact remains that we could have easily retaliated with military strikes on terror camps. But, imagine. Pakistan's democracy at its best, is a farce. Nobody knows who the real authority is. What if they nuked us? Irresponsible decisions are quite possible in fledgling govts. Additionally, the US would simply armtwist us into not reacting. Pakistan's NWFP remains the only route for supplies to the NATO forces in Afghanistan. Waging war against Pak would force them to divert troops from protecting the supply chains to the war front on the indian side. Something the US can ill afford. But again... an interesting point to this. To the south of Afghanistan, there is Tajikistan... a US ally. They really can route their supplies to Afghanistan through this country... Beats me why they still havent done it though.

Would love to hear more about our quiz club...

Cheers,
Anand
